Data mismatch

Should a translator grabs data from a website and changes it on the way? For example:

http://books.google.com/books?id=a9i8vzfWAVAC

If Zotero Connector for Chrome 2.999.1 saves it to Zotero, a number of pages changes from 432 to 434. Saving of some other books changes their ISBN and date (month and day appear in data even if Google Books does not show this information).

Is it possible to disable this shadow saving and to save what is actually on a page?
  • google provides metadata for its books through an xml feed.
E.g. the data for your book is at:
    http://books.google.com/books/feeds/volumes/a9i8vzfWAVAC
Sometimes that doesn't correspond to the item on the page - nothing Zotero can do about this, though you can certainly report it to google.
  • I got it, thanks, adamsmith.
