Bibtex Export Error: Series Editor Field gets Exported to Author

I am using Zotero 2.1.10 with Firefox 6.0.2 on an Apple System. When exporting the library to Bibtex, all the authors that are set to Series Editor ('Hrsg. der Reihe' in my German Zotero version) get exported to the author field in the Bibtex file.

The Editor ('Herausgeber') field gets correctly exported.

    I realize that author isn't right, but what field would like them to be exported to? I can have them be tacked onto the editors field, but that isn't strictly correct either.

    I would appreciate the editors field over the autors field even though it is not strictly correct, it is much less misleading.

    I have the same problem, only that the information set to 'editor' get exported to the associate(?)-field (in German: Mitarbeiter) and not only when exporting the library to bibtex.
    Anyone any ideas on how to solve that problem?

    Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/BibTeX.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data). If this works for you, please post here so that I can submit this change to be pushed to all users.

    yael091: The exports are different for each target format. Please start a new thread, detailing what format you're exporting to and how you think it should be exported.

    Thanks for the reply! I meant: not only when exporting the library at all. Already in the screen display editor-information get exported to the contributors-fied (using the German version).
