Open Office starts document recovery utility automatically

I installed both the Zotero for Firefox and the OpenOffice plugin. Everything seemed to work fine. At least in Firefox I am able to open the Zotero-Database without a problem.

However, whenever I open OpenOffice, it starts the document recovery utility automatically after around a minute or two. This happens even when I open a new document without any content and even more when I do not open any document at all but merely open the start page (the one where you can choose which type of document you would like to open). I just have to wait a little bit, and the document recovery starts.

The only thing which helps is to uninstall the word-processor plugin entirely. Simply deactivating it is not enough.

Any hints would be highly appreciated.

    I deinstalled both Zotero-plugins and OpenOffice entirely. Then I installed OpenOffice again.

    But this time I chose the 3.0 beta version of Zotero instead of 2.1.10. The OpenOffice integration remained 3.5b1.

    Now it works.
