Upgrade StorageAdding more storage if you've already purchased 5GB

In July I purchased 5GB of storage. I now would like to purchase more storage. Is that possible? Do I just click on 10GB and pay for that and then an additional 5GB will be added to my account? Or if I select the 10GB button, will 10GB be added to my current storage capacity of 5GB for a total of 15GB.
Or do I have to wait until my current subscription expires (09 July 2012) before I can purchase more storage? When I click on the 10GB button, the webpage says that the expiration date after payment will be March 2013...how is that?
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

fcheslackYou get bumped to the new storage level and get extra time on your new subscription depending on how much time you have left on your existing subscription.
