In the advanced search, I cannot see the "+", "-" button images. When I mouse over, the buttons are there, but there is no way to tell they are there unless I mouse over.

Also, when I search for "Creator", it doesn't seem to be searching the Author field. :(

This is repeatable. version 2.1.7

    Same issue here. FF2.1.8 on Windows XP x86, and on Windows 7 x64. Locale: English, but multiple locales installed on OS.

    I have the same problems (Zotero 2.1.8, Mozilla 3.6.18, Ubuntu 10.04).
    The "Creator" search usually throws up irrelevant results, in addition to correct ones.

    I have this issue in Win 7 with the Aero display enabled, but not when I disable Aero. I can find the "lost" buttons by mousing over where they're supposed to be.

    Repros on x86 FF6 Zotero 3.0b (multiple locales, English UK selected).

    Fixed on the trunk (for 3.0b3) and branch (for 2.1.9).

    Feel free to try the dev XPI for your particular version and verify that it's fixed. Be sure to switch back to the current release version afterwards.
