{:status: in press}@clearly: Properly speaking, any limitations that arise from the processor version and field assignments in Mendeley will be matters for Mendeley to sort out. but we'll stick with it here to pin down the issues.
According to the developers of Mendeley Desktop, the current version uses an earlier version of citeproc-js (1.0.114). Most of the issues in your list are due to data that is not being passed through to the processor. The earlier processor version does not recognize the "cheater syntax", so you'll need to wait for the next release (which I've been told will be coming up in 1-2 weeks).
When the next Mendeley release comes out, you should be able to enter data in the "cheater syntax" in the Notes tab of the right-side pane of the Mendeley Desktop to cover any fields that are not available in the main item pane. Apart from that, your support queries should be addressed to the Mendeley forums, since the people over there will know the details of the system.
I think the only issue in your list that affects the style code is the handling of DOI and page numbers. If you can confirm my question above, I'll take a look at fixing that up.
I only just saw your 10 (!) replies today. For some reason the alert I subscribed to via zotero forums stopped working and I assumed you had not replied since the last alert I received for your reply "fbennett Jun 7th 2011 Not forgotten!".
I'll get onto your replies soonest.
Thank you so much
Thank you for your work. I had a chance to play with the style yesterday. I made one fix my side - when citing references in the text, references should be separated by a comma not a semi-colon. Apart from that, I'm now not sure what is a problem or what Mendeley is implementing incorrectly. There are other issues with Mendeley, such as when there are authors with the same surname, that clearly are not related to the style.
For example, I'm not sure whether it is the style or Mendeley that insists on adding the article's issue number after the volume number.
I can't confirm the DOI vs page numbers issue. Looking at current articles from the journal, it does seem to be the case that when there is a DOI, it replaces page numbers.
Thank you again for creating this style and making fixes. You have helped me and no doubt cheps and hopefully many more people in the future.
As far as I can see the issue number is in the style that Frank coded, but easy to remove, as is fixing the semicolon/comma - Frank - will you fix those issues and upload the style or should I?
I've fixed those two issues and uploaded the style
Sorry for the delay. Todd Rundgren has a song that fits the occasion rather well:
