web page text fields/boxes stop accepting keyboard input

Zotero (love it!) seems to cause web page text box/input fields to stop working. After using Zotero to take a snap of a page (sometimes it takes two snap/entries), I can no longer enter text into, say, the text box for searches on a web site. So to do another search for articles to catalog I have to close the browser and go back to the site. This is happening with three newspaper/weekly sites. Very frustrating. At the same time, I cannot enter new tags... Has anyone else experienced this?
running Vista (ugh)

    Do you see any errors in Report Errors in the Actions (gear icon) menu after this happens? If so, send in an error report and post the Report ID here.
