arguments for convence Mellel to make Zotero integration

I want to persuade Mellel for make a Zotero integration. Mellel has excellent integration of Bookends and Sente. Can you help me to give some arguments why Zotero is a good alternative? In what is Zotero better than Bookends or Sente?

    Two important arguments for them could be that Zotero is:
    * widely used by scholars (may have many more users than Bookends and Sente in fact) so may bring more users to Mellel
    * open source, well-documented and with existing word processor plugins so good models and code already exist for integration
