No response when attempting to insert a citation in Word
I had been using firefox 5 with no problems with inline citations. Upgraded to ff6 and although the addon still showed up in word and zotero works in the browser, the insertion box stopped showing up when clicking on the 'insert citation' icon. I tried to sidestep what I thought to be the issue by reinstalling ff5 and reinstalling the add-ons. No go. Help! Project deadline rapidly approaching and citations are the only thing on my to do list!

(don't worry that this is troubleshooting a different issue).
Also, make sure you have all other plugins in Firefox disabled for troubleshooting.
If none of that works, provide all relevant information about your set-up (OS, Word version, plugin versions etc.) and see if you can report an error ID

Word '03, Windows 7, plugins.2.1.8 and 3.1.2 respectively.
The problem is not document specific.
Note that I do not get an error message, there is simply no response from the button in word when attempting to insert a citation--there is a very brief 'busy' sign from the mouse pointer after clicking the button, but then nothing happens, no pop-up box as is usual.
Again, I am currently running ff5, as I thought ff6 upgrade may have been the issue, but I am actually unsure if I did get some inline citation functionality after upgrading to ff6 a few days ago, but it was all I could think of that was new, but ff5 same problem now. Have reinstalled and completely removed and installed the zotero extensions/components to no avail.
Question though: if I go back to ff6 are the addons not compatible with it yet? ie I should stick w/ 5 for the time being?
"Zotero MacWord Integration is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 when run under Firefox 4. Please upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.x, or downgrade to Firefox 3.6.x."
What should I do?
meriam, that means exactly what it says. You would be best off upgrading your operating system to Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion), which are both $30 upgrades. Apple has Lion installation instructions here. You could also install Firefox 3.6.20.
