JSTOR + Chrome
Hi everyone,
First, congratulations on a beautiful product. I am a new user with a fresh install of the standalone version + chrome extension and JSTOR is most of the time not working. I installed firefox to do some test, followed the guidelines here (http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues), and here is what I observed.
http://www.jstor.org/stable/i348761 and http://www.jstor.org/stable/2958021 kind of links : no folder/article icon in either chrome or firefox. Not working at all.
http://www.jstor.org/stable/10.1086/660196 and http://www.jstor.org/stable/10.1086/660846 kind of links : folder/article (respectively) icons but "could not save items" error in chrome, works fine in firefox.
I am running Chrome beta (14) on windows seven, no other extension. A search on the forum showed that similar issues have arisen in the past (there seems to be something going on with the old/new type of stable url), but my understanding is that they should be fixed now.
Thanks.

I'm not sure why it's not working for you with Standalone, but there's no reason to be concerned unless they prove to not work in the much-improved Standalone 3.0b1. You can wait until the 3.0 betas are officially announced, or switch immediately, following the instructions in the referenced thread.
However, on the http://www.jstor.org/stable/i348761 and http://www.jstor.org/stable/2958021 kind of links, I still get no folder/article icon in either Chrome or Firefox.
When I go to http://www.jstor.org/stable/info/2958021 (by clicking "summary" on the previous page), I do get an "Embedded RDF via Zotero Standalone" icon ("Web Page" item type) , but the information is wrong (title + name ok, no journal information at all, date in 2007...).
It sounds to me like the JSTOR translator is completely broken for you, and you're seeing fallback to DOI. If so, you need to reset translators in Standalone (from the preferences), and try again.
