Can't access my extensive Zotero library with new laptop (old laptop was stolen)

I tried the 'sync' option but I can't recover my library. Any suggestions?

You would have to have synced your library on the old computer. Current versions of Zotero strongly encourage that, but you don't appear to have done so, so your only option would be restore from a backup.
