Removing duplicates - confused

When I look in the "Duplicate Items" "folder" I see lots of my papers as duplicates. I suppose that's harmless but I wanted to "clean up" my collection and remove identical duplicates.

For the life of me I can't find how to do it. I found some forum posts which seem to imply that a it is possible, and talk about clicking a certain button.

I am running Zoterro 5.0.97 - Beta on Mac.

    When you have multiple items (of the same item type) selected under "Duplicates" there is a merge button in the right-hand panel. If that's not the case
    1) Make sure that the selected items have the same item type
    2) Make sure you don't have the right-hand pane hidden

    Thank you! I see it now. I think because it's white on white on a Mac it is very easy to miss. I suggest that it be given a contrasting color.

    What's white on white? Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here?
