I'm trying to use Zotero on my Mac, but my desktop app won't sync with the website. I get this
Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_V1_CERT_USED_AS_CA

I tried to fix per instructions found on this site, but I'm too computer illiterate to carry them out. Struggling.

Something (most likely security software or a proxy server) is intercepting your secure connections, and is using an outdated security certificate. See SSL Certificate Error for how to debug.
