no red search citation bar

Recently installed zotero. When I click add/edit citation, the red citation search bar that I've seen on tutorials etc doesn't appear - there's just 'my library', which isn't helpful. Is ther any advice you can give to get the search bar? thanks

    Do you just mean that it's bringing the Zotero window to the front, or are you seeing the classic citation dialog (which includes a view of your libraries, in a separate window)?

    If the former, the citation dialog is likely just behind the Zotero window, and you should look through your windows to find it.

    If the latter, you changed it to show the classic dialog in the Cite pane of the preferences, and you can change it back to the default red bar if you want.
