Bug: Period after italic titles with punctuation at their end
When using font-style="italic" for titles that have a punctuation mark at their end, the period after the title does not get suppressed (compare [1] and [2]).

This does also happen in the citation style that mine is based on (Acta Polytechnica): https://editor.citationstyles.org/styleInfo/?styleId=http://www.zotero.org/styles/acta-polytechnica
It looks like something similar happened before: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/41934/suppressing-period-in-citations-with-other-punctuation, however I can't comprehend their solution/workaround, as the links don't work anymore and I don't know how to "allow a period to migrate across the boundary", which seems to have been the workaround.

bwiernikThis would be a bug. That thread you linked to was three developers discussing how to fix it.

xEpix3edited February 25, 2021Was there made any progress regarding how to fix the bug? If not, is this something that is currently (or in near future) worked on?
