Usage

I'm in my first year of Phd studies and my advisors suggested I use Zotero. Right now I'm not looking at scholarly articles so I wonder if Zotero will still work. Let's say I have to write a research paper for a class and the following websites are my resources. Will Zotero capture information on these sites, or is it only for Scholarly databases and websites?

  • Zotero can save high-quality data from a huge range of sites. Read through Translators to better understand what to expect.

Regardless of where you save from, you'll want to check the data for completeness and accuracy after saving if you're using Zotero to produce citations. (That'd be the same with any similar tool, though Zotero should generally save better data from a wider range of sites.)

For your examples, on the first page Zotero save whatever data the site provides ("Embedded Metadata" if you hover over the Zotero save button). On the NYT it will save full metadata.
