lost files

Hi Researchers,
few days ago i saved some files on zotero but later I couldn't find them. I was told to create an account. After creating the zotero account, still I cant locate my files. Am using the same computer.
Pls, what is the way out?

    Told to create an account by whom?

    Zotero saves data to your computer. Neither an account nor syncing is required, and if you weren't syncing previously, creating an account now wouldn't make a difference.

    As I tried to locate the lost files,the system asked me to register first. so I created zotero account yet I couldn't find the files.

    I don't know what you mean by "the system asked me to register first" — while you might want a Zotero account, and you need one to post here, if you didn't have one before that would do absolutely nothing to help you recover data, so this is some sort of misunderstanding.

    You need to follow the instructions that I linked to in full and provide the requested information if you still can't find your data.
