Getting some files back after reinitialisation of Windows

Hello all,

I have troubles with Zotero. I have reinitialized Windows due to problems with Word. I thought that automatic synchronisation option was active on my zotero account but I realized that it was not after the reinitatialisation. Indeed, I lost all the files on which I used to work on Zotero. Do you know a way to get them back?
Because I think that when synchronisation is not done, Zotero saves the files on the labtop. Do you think that if I manage to get my deleted files (which is something possible), I could get them back to Zotero?

Needless to say, you should never, ever wipe your computer or reinstall your OS without a full backup of your disk. Whether or not various programs sync to the cloud is irrelevant.

Zotero data is stored in the Zotero data directory. You would need to find a backup of that or recover zotero.sqlite from there.
