APA bibliography not authoring

Hello - I'm trying to use the "create bibliography from item" function with APA format and there is no author showing in the bibliography.


This is how it should be showing:
Kienzl, M., Storr, M., & Schicho, R. (2020). Cannabinoids and Opioids in the Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. Clinical and translational gastroenterology, 11(1), e00120. https://doi.org/10.14309/ctg.0000000000000120

This is what I'm getting:
Cannabinoids and Opioids in the Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. (n.d.). Retrieved April 1, 2020, from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7056045/


Has anyone found a fix for this? I tried using both 6th and 77th edition of APA. Please let me know, thanks so much.

The bibliography part is irrelevant here — what matters is what you actually see in the right-hand pane when you select the item. If that's what you're getting in the bibliography, you have an incomplete item in Zotero.

Zotero can save full metadata from PMC, so try saving again, and if it's only saving as a webpage item see Troubleshooting Translator Errors.

It looks like all of your items are importing just as Webpages with nothing but a title and URL, so you should follow the translator troubleshooting steps linked above to fix your import process and re-import your items as proper journal article items.
