Trying to set up sync on new computer

Hi. I am a new user and was successful in setting up and forming a library on my home computer. I am trying to set it up on my work computer. I was able to download zotero and the connector on my work computer, but was not able to sync my library. This message came up:

api.zotero.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates.
An additional root certificate may need to be imported.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER
