Chicago vs. APA system conflict

I wanted to use Chicago for my citation manager and selected so. However, whenever I try to create citation, it will only show up as Chicago in the endnote but as APA in text.
If I choose Chicago 17th (author-date) I get APA intext, the other two options for Chicago work just fine but the only problem is they produce footnotes. I need endnote not footnote. I am not sure what's causing this. This never happened before. Any advice?
  • If you actually mean you need endnotes instead of footnotes, you can just switch that in Word _or_ in the document preferences.
Beyond that, I have a hard time following your description of the issue - some examples would help.
