Problem with Zotero when changing from in-text citations (APA) to footnotes (Chicago) in Word

I have a document with many in-text citations (APA 6). There are too many places where the number of citations obstructs the reading of the sentences, so I want to convert to Chicago Style with footnotes instead to make the text more readable. But I encounter this problem when changing the document settings from the Zotero document settings.

Here is an image example of what happens: https://i.imgur.com/wad9izx.png

As you can see, one of the footnotes is in font size 10 and the others are font size 12. There is no difference in the formatting of the document text (all three citations in thet example are in-text quotes with size 12 font).

Any idea what is wrong here and how to solve this?

In my original document I have dozens and dozens of citations which look just fine (formatting-wise) as in-text citations, but when changing to Chicago Style, the font is different from footnot to footnote.
