Transferring a Zotero library to a new computer

Hi my old computer broke, I am able to access the library via the internet on my new computer but I cannot seem to set up the standalone system. I believe I have possibly set up an empty parallel library which is complicating things

You just need to install the Zotero desktop app and set up your account in the Sync preferences

Thanks bwiernik - I have managed to get the standalone version 4 on the desktop now but need to link it with the library. Appreciate your help mate. Cheers

Zotero 4 is old and unsupported and can no longer sync. I'm not sure why you're trying to run that version. You need to use Zotero 5.
