Report ID: 717417937 Translator Problem

Hello!

I just downloaded and installed Zotero for Windows and the Firefox add on a few hours ago, so they should be up to date.
I am sitting at my work PC and we use a proxy. I have the problem that no PDFs are downloaded. I used sciencedirect as a source.
Also no metadata is added if I insert a PDF and run a metadata search on it.

I also use Zotero at home, with my Mac. Thats why I know that it should be working and that the proxy of my company is probably the problem.
I also did the troubleshooting
https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues
and i know that there are issues when using a proxy and sciencedirect
https://www.zotero.org/support/known_translator_issues

Does this mean I basicly have to live with that and that I cant use Zotero at work? Or is there something I can change or any kind of workaround?

Best regards and thank you for your help.

Christina
  • Can you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) from Zotero for a save attempt where the PDF isn't saved?
  • Sorry, I thought the report ID was the right one.
    The Debug ID is D1763853769.
  • That's from the Zotero Connector. We need as Debug ID from Zotero for the save attempt.
  • I am sorry, it does not work. Once i select debug output, it says Error submitting output.
And when i select Zotero Error Report, it says "invalid response from repository"

    Error submitting output
[JavaScript Error: "The connection was refused when attempting to contact wss://stream.zotero.org/."]

So it looks like network connections from Zotero aren't working at all for you. You should be seeing an error at startup with a link to this page:

    https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/connection_error

You'll need to try the things suggested there.
