Hello, I am getting a message when I try to sync that I have reached my storage file quota. However, when I go to upgrade storage I am only using 4.4Mb of my 300 allocation. Any advice? Is it relevant that I am connected to a group library also? I am assuming that storage data from there is counted in the 4.4mb.

What's the exact message you're getting? From what you write, I'd guess that not you, but the owner of the group you belong to is out of storage, but the message should, I'm fairly certain, reflect that.
