New to zotero

Hi I am attempting to learn to use zotero. When I click on document preferances in word I am told that word and zotero are not communicating. (I have zotero open on my browser when using word) I have attempted to re download the the program but nothing changes. FYI I use mac and safari if it matters. Thanks

Zotero is a program that runs on your computer — you need to download that and have that running. The Zotero Connector is just a browser extension that saves to Zotero.
