Zotero connector in Safari extensions

concerned about what i read in zotero extension about permissions for zotero
connector 5.0.51 regarding webpage contents and browsing history. can i remove this?

    You can see Zotero's very clear privacy policy here: https://www.zotero.org/support/privacy

    But at a technical level, you cannot restrict the permissions of the Safari connector if you want to be able to use it, no.

    To be able to scrape information from webpages and recognize if Zotero can import them, obviously the Zotero connector needs to be able to read webpage content. And while Zotero doesn't actually store any of your browsing history ever, there would be no way to prevent an app that's able to scan all URLs you visit (which Zotero does to detect which ones it can save) to save that information.
