Unable to connect to my Word

Hello I have been having trouble connecting my zotero to my Microsoft word. I have tried the many steps on your website to connect it but I still cannot do it.
I do not have the document Zotero.dotm on my computer at all.

If you could please help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it.

Is Zotero.dotm not present within the Zotero installation folder? What kind of security software do you have running?

That's what you're doing by posting here.

Meaning what, exactly? Did you look in the 'zotero*WordIntegration@zotero.org\install' directory? If that directory is empty, something on your system — either you or security software — removed the Zotero.dotm file and you need to reinstall Zotero.

I'm Having the same issue. I downloaded and re-installed zotero but the install folder is blank when it is opened for manual installation through 'file location'

Sorry for the late response...
The full path is this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\extensions\zoteroWinWordIntegration@zotero.org\install

There are two files - one MS word 97-2003 template, other is macro-enabled template. But both are blank, unable to use zotero for any referencing. It was working fine before the update.

What do you mean by blank? You're not supposed to open them. You need to follow the manual installation instructions.

If you open Zotero.dotm do you get a Zotero tab?

That means Word is blocking macros without a notification. See https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_tab_does_not_appear_in_the_word_ribbon

Thank you. I reinstalled and went over all the steps again and it seems to be working now.
