I tried to drag and drop a file from one collection to another, but it didn't work. So I right clicked the file, selected 'Open in Folder', and tried to drag and drop the file from its folder to the new collection. This led to an error.

    This probably shouldn't throw an error, but that's not the way to do this. Zotero items and collections and files and file folders on your operating system are quite distinct.

    When you say you weren't able to drag from one collection to another -- were these both in your library, or was one in a group? How did that fail?

    Yes, they were both in the library. It failed in the sense that nothing happened - the file didn't appear in the new collection.

    To start, upgrade to the latest version — you're version is a little out of date.

    What exactly are you trying to drag? An attachment, or a regular item? It would be very strange not to be able to drag a regular item to another collection. Dragging a child attachment to another collection isn't supposed to work.

    If you think this isn't working, can you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for a drag that fails?
