Upgrade StorageAutomatically fixing incorrect item metadata
I have a lot of old PDFs where automatic metatdata extraction does not work. It is very tedious to enter all the metadata by hand.
Lets say I have an entry with a correct DOI but all other fields are incorrect. Is there a way to automatically download and populate all the fields with correct document metadata since this should be uniquely available via the DOI? What about with metadata elements (e.g. artical title)?
Relatedly, lets say I have downloaded a correct citation (bibtex or whatever). Is there a way to apply that correct file to an existing entry instead of importing it as a new item and then manually merging the two items together.

adamsmithCurrently importing and merging is the only way to go. Updating an item based on metadata elements (like DOI) is planned but might still take a little.
