A flag is need to avoid saving multiple copies of a same record

I have been using Zotero for a year. Its a great reference management program.

I recently noticed that Zotero does not check whether a record already exists. So I ended up saving identical copies of a reference in the same library. This usually happens when a reference link is reopened on the web browser and the 'save to Zotero' addon button is clicked.

I know I can avoid this by checking whether the record already exists in the library. However, it would be great if Zotero adds a flag to avoid this.
