In-text citation: problem with umlaute and apostrophes

Hi. I have a problem with in-text citations of author names that include umlaute or apostrophes. Once entered into Word, these author names turn in-text citations into plain text. Obiously, the latter are not listed in the (otherwise complete) bibliography.

I didn't have this problem a couple of years ago. My citations are usually derived via Google Scholar, ISBN, DOI or put in by hand... Other citations work just fine.

(Word Version 16.16, with Microsoft Word Add In + Zotero Word for Mac Integration, last updatet in May 2016)

Any chance to solve this problem?

And this is a consistent problem with any author with Umlauts or apostrophes for you?

Problem solved a few minutes ago.

Found a user with a similar problem who deleted an old zotero.dot file in the Word Startup folder to make the zotero.dotm work. Same (plus an update to Zotero 5) worked for me!
