no pdf files attached from Zotero import on webpages

Hey,
I've just installed Zotero on my home pc and am amazed what it can do. Then I also installed it on my office pc (inside a corporate network with a firewall) and realised that it can do much less there. Here is how to reproduce my main problem with Zotero at work:
* start the Zotero program (version 5.0.55) under Win10
* start the web browser (I tried Firefox as well as Chrome, both have the same problem) with the Zotero plugin (version 5.0.41)
* go to a journal or patent website (neither works for me in this respect), for example this one: https://depatisnet.dpma.de/DepatisNet/depatisnet?action=bibdat&docid=AU002015346575B2
* the website seems to be properly recognised by the Zotero "translator", at least I see the light bulb icon for this patent website.
* a right click on this light blub icon shows me under "save to" that the "DEPATISnet" translator is feeling responsible for this website (which is correct)
* when I then left click onto the light bulb icon, then a new Zotero entry is created. But the two additional documents (the "patent record" and the PDF file) are NOT attached to my new Zotero entry. Their icons also stay gray during the saving procedure of the browser plugin. (The do not get a red cross, nor do they get full color as on my home pc where this works fine.)
* (side note: my work pc sits behind a firewall. This firewall also intercepts all https traffic and therefore https sites are delivered to me with a "wrong" certificate (which is properly accepted by all my browsers, but not by the Zotero main program). I don't know of this information matters in this case.)

What's wrong here? I would very much like to download the PDF file to Zotero as well in these cases. Do I need to change some setting? Is this a bug? How can I make it work? Any helpful hints would be appreceated.
  • Yes, this is due to your network traffic being intercepted by your work firewall. See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/ssl_certificate_error

Zotero needs to be able to properly connect to the internet to download attachments.
  • Thank you for your answer. This is what I feared...

I have tried the suggestions from your link, especially the "certificate override" procedure. But I can only get a cert9.db file from my (enterprise version) Firefox, but Zotero seems to need a cert8.db file.

Does anyone have a rought time estimate at what date the first Zotero version will come out, that can cope with cert9.db files?
