Error in first time syncing

Hello! I have just installed the Zotero app on my PC and its extension on Google Chrome. After activating my account, the first thing to do is 'Set-up Syncing' which I did. However, it shows an Error as follow:

api.zotero.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates.
An additional root certificate may need to be imported.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER

Please suggest me its way out. I would be glad. Thanks in advance.
