Abbreviated Work Citation

Greetings.

I am working on dissertation citations, trying to render a volume in a collection of works in its abbreviated form from the start. For example,

NOT:
_The Works of Jonathan Edwards_, vol. 6, 337

BUT:
WJE 6:337.
[I want to make sure that it doesn't include commas or "n.d."]

Is this possible?

I'm working within Society of Biblical Literature style.

Not easily doable in standard Zotero. Juris-M can do it with its “Classic” item type. You could also just use find-and-replace in your Word document after you have finished writing and unlinked Zotero citations.
