ADD CITATION DOESN'T LEAD TO UPDATE OF BIBLIOGRAPHY NUMBERS

I have added new citation in between the already added citations . the bibliography is getting updated, but not the cited numbers.
i have tried all the error solving measures in https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents.
they did not help. please advise regarding what to do further.

Try clicking Refresh in the Zotero tab. If the numbers update, click Document Preferences and ensure that Automatic Updates are enabled.
