%3B shows up instead of ; (semi-colon)

When I use save to zotero from my library catalogue a semi-colon (;) in the "place" field shows up as %3B in my zotero library. I know it is a code issue, but why would it be happening with this sort of import? Any fix out there? Using Chrome browser on a Mac.

This is almost certainly a problem with how the library displays data to Zotero for import (which is typically different from what you see on the page). What's the URL of the library catalog?

Yes, that's literally in the metadata like this:
<cop>Dublin %3B Portland, OR</cop>

(cop = City of Publication). Please contact your library about this. Tell them that this occurs in the PNX data in addata/cop (it's likely some sort of conversion issue: %3B is the html character code for a semicolon) and point them to this thread for further questions.
