Connector not working?

I have just downloaded zotero for firefox + the connector for firefox. When I follow the instructions in the illustrated guide to zotero, I don't get the little icons in the search bar for, say amazon or youtube, so am not sure zotero is working correctly? What else do I need to do to see the icons in the search bar?
