5.0 Update error - cannot open standalone

I updated Zotero to 5.0 today and am now receiving an error message when trying to open up Zotero standalone.

The error says: "zotero.exe - Entry Point Not Found"

I don't have my library synced so I don't want to uninstall and reinstall. Is there a way I can recover my library?

Has anyone come across this error before and found a solution? HELP!
  • We haven't seen that before, but you should indeed just uninstall and reinstall from the download page — most likely there's just something corrupted about your installation. Uninstalling won't affect your data (though it's always a good idea to make sure you have a backup of your Zotero data directory, as with any important data, because you could lose your computer, your disk drive could crash, etc.).
