My zotero disappeared

My zotero disappeared. I downloaded a new version but now I can't find my library or any of my saved items. Here on the website i can access some of the items, but only old ones. All the ones I have saved during the last year are gone. Is there some way to recover them? And how do I extract the library on the website to the zotero standalone?

Have you downloaded the standalone Zotero app from http://zotero.org/download?

What happens when you open the app? What do you see?
