red zotero citation dialogue citation box not appearing

when i "add/edit citation" the red zotero citation dialogue box doesnt open up. only the classic view opens up. can someone please tell me whats going wrong. how can i get the red zotero citation dialogue box.

Uncheck "Use classic add citation dialog" in the "Cite" tab of the Zotero preferences.
