How to delete tags from library/ globally?

I can remove tags from individual documents however the original link in the left hand column still remains. When you hover over the the tag it still believes a document is linked. Does anyone know how completely remove a tag from the library?

In the Zotero software, right-click on the tag on the left and delete it. I don't think it's possible on the website.
