Getting error code 401968175 'please restart'

As I'm using Zotero, it now regularly says 'an error has ocurred. Please restart Firefox.'
Can anyone advise?

    Check your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences. If that passes, it's likely a bug in 4.0 — you can ignore until Zotero 5.0, which will be out soon, or try the 5.0 Beta.
    appName => Firefox, appVersion => 48.0.2
    Probably won't affect this, but you should also update Firefox — you're running 48.0.2, which is outdated and likely insecure. You want to be running either the latest version (currently 53) or the latest Extended Support Release version (currently 52).
