Citation style

Is there a way to merge different citation styles for the numeric references and bibliography? For example, I would like the numeric style of Nature, but the bibliography style of Vancouver?

In general, not without modifying the styles. For numeric styles that's usually quite easy, for other styles it's a little more involved.

For your specific example, though, such a style already exists:
