Zotero not working

I have installed zotero and firefox. Word integration tool was also installed successfully. But, when I am clicking in the insert citation menu of the zotero toolbar or any menu in fact no action is been carried out and the error message "Word was unable to fire an event" is popping up all the time.

Can anyone help me in this case.

I uninstalled everything again installed followed all the instructions but the same problem is occurring again and again.

Those who offer help will need more information about your computer software and a better description of your problem. They will also need the _exact_ words of the error message -- even if the message is not in English.

These is the description of my problem.

Computer: Macbook Pro
Software: Zotero-4.0.29.5, MS Office 2011 (14.4.9)
Message from MS word: "Word was unable to fire event" [after clicking the insert citation menu in the Zotero toolbar]

I hope this will be sufficient to address the issue. If there are any other requirements please let me know.
