Cannot Sync online library

I had to restore my mac computer.
I now have the Zotero program downloaded on my mac computer, but when I try to sync my online files to my computer, only a few come through.

I would like to sync my online library with my zotero application so that everything I see online I can see in the application, but when I press the sync button this does not happen. I have tried re-entering my ID and password under the preferences drop down, but no luck.

Is there a way to get my PDFS and notes back into my Zotero library in my computer application?

When you hover over the green round sync arrow at the top right in Zotero, what does it say? Is there an exclamation mark icon next to it?
Could you confirm that your library is at https://www.zotero.org/kari333 /items/ and that you have kari333 as your username in Zotero?

There was an exclamation point next to the green arrow, but once I clicked on it the exclamation went away. Nothing changed in my library, though, when I clicked on the green sync arrow. It acted like it downloaded but nothing happened. And yes conforming to both those questions
