Zotero Standalone "no response" at boot

Hello everyone,

I am fairly new to zotero.

I imported my work-library to my private laptop (zotero standalone) and logged into my account via zotero standalone. Then my Zotero crashed (giving me a "no response" error).

Now everytime I start zotero it goes directly into "no response" mode and I cannot get it working.

Can anyone help me? Am I stuck with reinstalling it?

How long have you let it run? "No response" may just be the response to a large data sync. It's not actually a crash unless it either takes hours or shuts down.

Hey,

I left it running for 12hours straight and now it works. Patience seems to be the solution here. I think this was a much to long period (although i had >55k entries), I posted my question after 7 hours running time.

yeah, that's much longer than it should be. Did you import the items from another reference manager or was this just a sync from another machine with Zotero? Let us know if this happens again.

I imported it from endnote to zotero and than to zotero again.
