Request for a "Refreshing" indicator in Microsoft Word plugin

Hello

I'm using Zotero Standalone with the Word plugin (Word 2007, Standalone and the plugin are up-to-date).
All my softwares are set in french.
Everything works fine.

My docx file is quite big, with aproximately 100 citations, 100+ pages, and my computer is sometimes slow when editing this file (my computer is old and there is many pictures on this file...).
Neverming, i'm not complaining about the speed.

When I hit the "Refresh" button on the Zotero Ribbon, it took several seconds for Zotero to "do his magic", and I can see the bibliography table (at the end of my file) being updated 10 seconds after hitting the button.
I assume then that Zotero has finished his magic, and I can edit again my file.

I wonder if :
1- there is a danger in editing my docx file when Zotero is "doing his magic" refreshing?
2- it is possible in a later version of the plugin to show a "Refreshing" indicator in the Ribbon? Something like greying the Refresh button, or rotating arrows, or a popup window...

Thank you for your answers, and apologies for my bad speaking.
  • So long as you don't edit any Zotero fields while it updates, there is no danger. Deleting the bibliography and only inserting it as the final step should also speed up the process.
