Zotero standalone DOI lookup not working

Hi,

currently, the DOI lookup seems to be broken. When I use "Add Item(s) by Identifier" and try with for example
10.1051/epjconf/20158702012
or with
10.1088/0741-3335/56/10/103001
nothing happens (the lookup process seems to take forever and as soon as I click somewhere it stops).

Any ideas?
  • could we get debug output for trying to add
    10.1088/0741-3335/56/10/103001
that should work and does for me.
  • sure, here is the Debug ID: D729602054
  • @Dan - could you check?

Looks like something may be wrong with your Zotero data directory. (There should be many more than 75 translators.) Reset translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences.

@Dan now I get the message "Zotero could not find any identifiers in your input. Please verify your input and try again."

Here is the Debug ID: D1525934895

by the way: thanks for an awesome product!

EDIT: ups, it worked the second try. Just forget what I have written above (except the part with the awesome software). Thanks :)
  • Hi,

I am also having some difficulties with Zotero identifying a DOI:

    10.1023/A:1005640604267

...but with a different error: "Zotero could not find a record for the specified identifier. Please verify the identifier and try again."

The DOI however is correct- is identified in both DOI.org website and in crossref website... and other DOIs identify other articles ok.

    The debug ID is D487327402.

Any suggestion/assistance to fix is appreciated.
    Diane
  • @dianegal: That is not working in Zotero for Firefox either when trying to add it by the magic wand. However, it works when I use the DOI translator on the corresponding webpage: http://www.akademiai.com/doi/abs/10.1023/A:1005640604267

@Dan: Maybe the colon ":" is making trouble here?
