Broken footnotes with Word plug-in - help needed urgently.

I'm having trouble with broken citations in a Word document. Can someone tell me where to post a sample? I've tried pasting text into a clean word document and reinserting citations from scratch, but the endnotes show as lines of code in the new Word document. Any help appreciated - I'm in big trouble here.
